Mac N Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms is so delicious! Easy to make and great for parties or as an appetizer. Baked mushrooms stuffed with a creamy macaroni and cheese filling with bacon too!
Mac N Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms! Oh my goodness! This recipe is so tasty!. It's very easy to prepare and to make it even easier, I've used left over mac n cheese to stuff the mushrooms.
These Mac n Cheese stuffed mushrooms are great as an appetizer or if you wanted to make some for a party, game day, over the holidays or as a snack. They don't take very long to cook, and because you're using left over mac n cheese, these are very budget friendly too.
For this recipe I've used left overs from my Bacon and Crab Mac n Cheese recipe. If you want to keep the mac and cheese plain, you can also use our Luxury Mac n Cheese recipe which uses a variety of different cheeses. Or, if you don't have time to prepare that, then you can always use your favorite ready made mac n cheese from the shop. Whatever you decide, it will be delicious!
Here, I've served them as an appetizer with some simple salad leaves. You could make them as part of your main meal and serve with some of our home made oven fries.
Or have with our Homemade Fried Chicken Tenders or with our Tasty Breaded Pork
The mushrooms I've used are the larger flat mushrooms so there will be enough room to stuff them with the mac and cheese filling. They're so tasty! So let's get straight to the recipe and please enjoy our Mac n Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms!
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 25 Minutes
Serves: 6 mushrooms
Ingredients:
6 Large Flat Mushrooms
6 Tablespoons Leftover Mac n Cheese, chilled
3 Tablespoons grated Parmesan Cheese
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven to 350 F or 180 C.
2. Remove the stalks from the mushrooms
3. On a lined baking tray, place the mushrooms, so the underside is facing upwards, and then add a tablespoon (more or less depending on the size of your mushrooms), of mac n cheese to each mushroom. Use your hands to gently press the filling down and shape it a little so it doesn't fall off!
4. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top of each mushroom and place in the oven to bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
5. When ready, place each mushroom on some kitchen paper to absorb any excess water from the mushrooms, then transfer to a serving plate and eat warm.
