Shrimp Nesey, a delicious starter or main, shrimp with a tasty cream sauce.

Shrimp Nesey . Oh my! What a delicious recipe! This is all made from scratch and full of great flavors. The recipe is easy to make and would be perfect for any occasion, as an appetizer or a main meal, served alongside some rice or pasta, or indeed some warm crusty bread rolls fresh from the oven.

Shrimp Nesey is a lovely family recipe shared by one of our Lovefoodies supporters, Denise Smith Alexander. Here Denise has made delicious shrimp in a rich and creamy sauce and will go perfectly with some pasta or as a shrimp sauce with a lovely piece of fish.

When you take a look at the list of ingredients, there seems to be a lot, but actually, most you will have in your cupboard, and all those flavors combined is what makes this Shrimp Nesey amazingly delicious!

It's definitely a popular recipe, particularly during the Thanksgiving and Christmas period so please enjoy!

Yield

2 - 4 Persons

Ingredients

Shrimp (as much as you wish)
1 Tablespoon butter
1 diced yellow onion
1 diced bell pepper
5 green onions (scallions / spring onions)
save the green parts of the scallions for later.
1 teaspoon minced garlic.
Season to taste with Tonys, Old Bay seasoning
a few shakes of garlic powder
a good amount of parsley
cayenne pepper
a shake of blackened seasoning
1 can of evaporated milk
1/3 cup / 80 ml of half and half cream.
3/4 cup / 75g of Romano cheese
1 drained can of roasted diced tomatoes
A splash of white wine

Instructions


1. Sautee in butter a diced yellow onion and bell pepper and 5 green onions...save the greens for later.

2. Towards the end add the minced garlic. Season to taste with Tonys, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, fresh chopped parsley, cayenne pepper, a shake of blackened seasoning.

3. Add the shrimp. Once they begin to turn pink pour a can of evaporated milk, and about a 1/3 cup of half and half.

4. Add about 3/4 cup of Romano cheese and a drained can of roasted diced tomatoes. A splash of white wine and add the sliced green onion tops. Serve over angel hair pasta or fish and enjoy!
