This is a wonderful recipe, packed with flavor and texture. The sauce is made up of a variety of ingredients, cheese, fresh herbs, diced tomatoes to name but a few. When all these ingredients are combined, you get an amazing flavor!

This sauce recipe can be used on it's own with some crusty bread, or you can add it to pasta, rice, as a topping of some lovely baked fish or even have as a hearty soup.

When you take a look at the list of ingredients, there seems to be a lot, but actually, most you will have in your cupboard, and all those flavors combined is what makes this Shrimp sauce amazingly delicious!

Ingredients

1 lb Shrimp
1 Tablespoon butter
1 diced yellow onion
1 diced bell pepper
5 green onions (scallions / spring onions) *save the green parts of the scallions for later.
1 teaspoon minced garlic.
Season to taste with Tonys, Old Bay seasoning
a few shakes of garlic powder
1 cup of chopped fresh parsley
cayenne pepper
a shake of blackened seasoning
1 can of evaporated milk
⅓ cup / 80 ml of half and half cream.
¾ cup / 75g of Romano cheese
1 drained can of roasted diced tomatoes
A splash of white wine

Instructions


1. Sautee in butter a diced yellow onion and bell pepper and 5 green onions...save the greens for later.

2. Towards the end add the minced garlic. Season to taste with Tonys, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, fresh chopped parsley, cayenne pepper, a shake of blackened seasoning.

3. Add the shrimp. Once they begin to turn pink pour a can of evaporated milk, and about a ⅓ cup of half and half.

4. Add about ¾ cup of Romano cheese and a drained can of roasted diced tomatoes. A splash of white wine and add the sliced green onion tops. Serve over angel hair pasta or fish and enjoy!
