This is so delicious! What more is there to say?!
It's easy to prepare, and you can use beef or pork ribs, chicken legs, pork chops, anything you like!

The marinade is actually sold as a mix for grilling and BBQ's but I love the flavour so much I decided to use it for my crock pot recipe, with a couple of additions to the marinade.
I also cooked some tasty potatoes at the same time, and they took on the flavours and oh what a wonderful smell when it was cooking!
You can also cook these in the crock pot and then finish them off on the grill or simply use this recipe and grill them once it's had time to marinade as per the recipe. Either way, these will taste delicious!

** For our UK foodies, McCormick is called Schwartz and you can find their Grill Mates spice collection here. I see they do not have the sweet tea flavor yet, but I have tried the Deep South Brown Sugar one and also the Smokey Texan one, and both those will also work very nicely with this recipe. The Smokey Texan one will of course give you the smokey flavour too! Please see this link for the Schwartz products so you can get them in your supermarket.

Instructions

1. Wash the meat and if you are using ribs, be sure to wash any loose bits of bone away where they have been cut. Place meat in a zip bag and add the Spice mix, olive oil and honey. Seal and refrigerate for a couple of hours, or even overnight.

2. Wash some potatoes. See below, the size was about medium in my hand. Use a fork and prick holes all over the potatoes, then pour some olive oil on your hands and rub them all over. Then add a twist of salt & pepper. Place them in the crock pot.

3. Add the meat to the crock pot, try not to pile it in, but spread it around so it's not all sitting on top of each other. Pour the remaining juices from the zip bag also in to the pot. Turn Crock pot on LOW for 4 hours.

4. You can also add vegetables of your choice, but I steamed my vegetables separately 10 minutes before the end of cook time.
5. HALF way through cooking, use a spoon and turn the meat and potatoes over so the colouring will be all over from the juices. Then serve!
WARNING: The smells when this is cooking are amazing, so if you are hungry, you may have to leave the house until it is ready!!
