I made this and it tasted pretty good. Served it over rice, too. Only thing for me was the sauce, I added before serving some more ginger, brown sugar and some beef bouillon. I think if could have used more pineapple juice. The roast meat tasted great, was just expecting more pineapple and ginger flavors. One thing though is the sauce didn’t come out thick, so I tried using some cornstarch, didn’t work like I wanted. I’d like to know how this one came out thick like in the pic or some suggestions.

    1. Hi Tasha,

First Thank you for trying my recipe.. This is one of my favorite crock pot meals. When choosing a pineapple juice make sure is has more pineapple than water in the contents. This makes a huge difference in the flavor of pineapple. For Ginger you can add a tsp extra for more of a flavor. For the gravy, I am not sure why it was not thickening for you When this happens for me I always add another tsp of cornstarch to thicken and add some chucks of pineapple as well. I hope this helps.. and again Thank you for trying!

      1. PS… Using the beef bouillon is salty, this can take away the fruity flavors as well. I would eliminate that if you try again, Just to see
