Christmas is a wonderful time to make batches of cookies for the family or to take for friends or gatherings.

Since we had such a huge hit with our other cream cheese cookie recipes on our sister website, our chocolate chip cream cheese cookie recipe and lemon and white chocolate cream cheese cookies, we decided to make a festive, Christmas themed cookie recipe using candy canes. These add a little crunch to the cookie as well as a pop of color, perfect for Christmas time!

The recipe itself is easy to follow, and it's a case of simply combining all the ingredients together and baking for around 10 minutes. The cookies have a soft, chewy texture, and are a little crisp on the oustide. They're so good! This recipe makes 20 cookies, but they do go fast so you may want to double the recipe!

If you wanted to be a little luxurious, you could also add some chopped macadamia nuts to give extra creaminess and texture, or white chocolate, (the measures are in the ingredients below). Perhaps even add a little green food coloring to the cookie dough for a Christmas tree color!
