Easy Chocolate Party Pretzels are a great snack made up of delicious crunchy salted pretzels and a variety of chocolate. Once you start eating these you can't stop! These Chocolate Pretzels are just crazy simple to make and uses only 2 ingredients.
When I make a batch of these, I bag them up into individual bags of a handful in each and hide them. Really, that's what I do. When you make these you will understand exactly what I'm talking about! So make sure you have a good stash location worked out when you come to make these.
I say you can make these ahead and they will store in a container, the freezer or fridge for a week or so, but in all honesty, they have never lasted more than half a day. But yes, they will keep, but you will need to hide them.
I think what makes these so ridiculously addictive is the salted pretzel combined with the chocolate, and then the characteristic crunch of the pretzel and the chocolate melting in your mouth.

Well, I guess I don't need to convince you these are good, just go ahead and make a batch, small or large, and you will be off to the shop to get more supplies soon enough.... to replace the batch of these easy chocolate party pretzels you just ate!
I call these easy chocolate party pretzels because they would be ideal for adding to your party food list. They're great for young and old alike, and flexible in that you can opt for white, milk or dark chocolate, or a combination.
They also look great when served in a bowl, or as you'll see from my photos, they never actually made it to the bowl. Best advice, make these when no one else is at home. Then you will at least get to taste some and hide some too!
These chocolate pretzels are suitable any time of the year, and for the Christmas period, when you're busy making cookies, make up a batch of these. Perhaps add some Christmas festive color sprinkles on the melted chocolate before it sets to give them some sparkle too!
This recipe is incredibly easy, the young ones can help, but be warned, they'll probably get more chocolate on them than the pretzels! But that's part of the fun!
So let's get straight to the recipe and see how we make these easy chocolate party pretzels. Please enjoy!
Prep Time
30 Minutes
Cook Time
Nil
Serves
60 + pieces
Ingredients
6oz or 175g Sea Salted Pretzels
16 oz or 450g Baking Chocolate (a mixture of milk, dark and white if you prefer)
Instructions
1. In a bowl over a saucepan of hot water, place the chocolate and let simmer on low heat until melted.
Whilst the chocolate is melting, take a large sheet of parchment paper and place on the worktop. Put the pretzels in a bowl/ plate and have a skewer ready.
2. Take the chocolate over to your worktop, and keeping the bowl over the saucepan, (by keeping the bowl over the saucepan, this will keep the chocolate melted to give you time for coating),
place a few pretzels into the melted chocolate at a time, stir them gently with a skewer so they're well coated with chocolate.
Using a skewer, take the pretzel out of the chocolate and remove any excess chocolate. (I find it easier to use 2 skewers, one for fishing the pretzel from the chocolate and I use the other to carefully take off any dripping chocolate).
3. Place each pretzel on some parchment paper and repeat until the chocolate has finished.
4. If using a variety of chocolate, you will obviously need to do it in separate bowls.
5. Place the pretzels in the fridge until the chocolate has set (if it's warm in your kitchen!)
6. Serve in bowls or put in some gift jars to give away to friends.
