How To Host A Chicken Wings Party, perfect for BBQ's, potlucks, family gatherings. Recipes for a variety of tasty wings, sides and dips to make up a perfect party.
I love chicken wings and what better way to share with your friends than to host a chicken wings party! For this post, I've decided to grab the best of the best recipes from the blogging world and share with you how to host a chicken wings party.
Everybody loves chicken wings so I've chosen a selection, all with different flavors so there's something to suit everybody.
Hosting a chicken wings party is a great way to get your friends and family over for a BBQ or party, whether it's for New Year's Eve, tailgating, gameday, Memorial Day, July 4th, a summer party outdoors with the grill, perhaps some appetizers for a wedding buffet or children's party, the list is endless because chicken wings are so versatile and will go with so many things, ranging from dips to salads, nice finger food, and all easy to prepare and serve.
The beauty of all these recipes is that you can adjust the quantities to suit, so if you're going to have a small romantic chicken wings party for 2, you can use a little table top BBQ like this one. It's so cute!
Or if you're planning on a bigger gathering, a BBQ this size would be better, or maybe even 2 of them!
All our recipes chosen for you today can be transported to wherever you're planning on having your chicken wings party, be it in the park, a field, a friend's house, you won't have to worry about food getting thrown around in the car if you go over bumps! All you need is a cool box so the meat and sides stay chilled and fresh for when you arrive.
So how exactly do you host a chicken wings party?
Firstly, you need to set yourself a budget. Chicken wings are so cheap in comparison to other meat and chicken cuts, and they're great for portion control, so you can roughly estimate 4 - 5 chicken wings per person, plus any sides, such as salads and dips which will also be budget-friendly.
I guess the most expensive items for your party will be the ice cool beers and any wine if you choose to serve alcohol at your chicken wings party.
So once you've worked out how many people you will be feeding, you need to have a think about if there will be children at your chicken wings party. I say this because some of the chicken wings recipes we have for you are hot ones, so you will need to make sure you serve some kid-friendly chicken wings for those who can't take hot food.
You'll need to arrange to get some disposable serving plates, forks and spoons etc, unless you are planning on doing the washing up or you have very helpful teenagers who will jump at the chance of washing all the dishes at the end of your party! (I am guessing disposable will be the most popular option!).
You need to make sure you have plenty of charcoal if you're grilling, and firelighters too if you use those for your BBQ's and containers to put the cooked chicken wings in once they're ready.
I would suggest using some of those disposable foil trays so you can pop the different wings into each one. These wings below are some of our Oh So Good Jack Daniel's Chicken Wings which I put in a foil tray for serving at a recent BBQ
How to let guests know what they're eating?
Have some pieces of cut-out card handy so you can write on each one what the wings flavors are, or just write 'HOT' or 'KID FRIENDLY' on them and tape them to the relevant trays.
That way no one will shout at you if they accidentally pick up a red hot chicken wing when they were after a kid-friendly one!
What desserts can I serve at the party?
You'll also need to think about a few delicious desserts for after, or maybe you can delegate some desserts for friends and family to bring along.
We've got a great post here, for desserts, Amazing Desserts For A Party, which will be suitable for transporting to a party and also ones which you can make ahead so you're not rushed off your feet!
