Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 4 ½ - 5 hrs

Yield: 4 - 6 Persons

Ingredients

½ cup water
½ cup lemon juice and zest of half a lemon
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp of turmeric
½ tsp cinnamon
3 lbs of chicken here I used only breast but best if you use dark meat as well for sweetness
2 tsp minced garlic
1 small onion minced
½ cup sliced green olives
½ cup sliced black olives

Instructions

1. Place lemon juice and water in crock pot with all your spices then add your chicken of choice and top with garlic, onions and olives.

2. Cook on high in crockpot for 4 ½ to 5 hours

  1. does this recipe use boneless chicken? I cook for a very large crowd a few times a month. I am always looking for good crock pot recipes.

      Yes, for this recipe, boneless chicken was used, however, you could by all means use on the bone chicken. Both would work well.

  2. This would be amazing served over Moroccan cous cous. The cous cous would absorb some of those amazing juices in the bottom of the crockpot. I am definitely making this tonight. Great recipe Peggy!
