Cook Time: 2 hours
Yield: 2 - 4 Persons
Ingredients
1 kilo / 2 lbs braising steak or meat suitable for slow cooking
4 Onions chopped
3 Tbs veg oil
2 Tbs tomato paste
2 Tbs ground paprika
1 tsp ground pepper
1 tsp ground caraway
235 ml / 1 cup Red wine
570 ml / 2 ½ cups meat stock
2 bell peppers chopped
Chopped carrots or any other fresh vegetables you like.
4 Tbs soured cream.
Instructions:
1. Heat oil and lightly brown meat. Add onions and cook until soft. Add tomato paste , paprika , caraway , wine and stock. Stir well and simmer for at least 1 ½ hours.
** If you wish to use your slow cooker, place everything now and cook on LOW for 4 hours.
2. Add peppers and more stock if needed. Simmer for another 30 mins. Season to taste. Serve with soured cream.
