This lemon whipped cream has got to be the quickest and easiest cream I've ever made! It's a simple recipe, using just 2 ingredients and it can be used as an accompaniment to a dessert, or as a frosting on a cake or a side to a slice of cake such as in the photo below where we added a blob of this cream to our sticky lemon cake or make this lemon cream to go with our easy lemon upside down cake.
It was absolutely delicious! The cream has a slight tangy taste from the lemon.
We've used a simple lemon curd, which you can buy in jars in the supermarket, or you can make your own using our easy lemon curd recipe.
This cream will keep covered in the fridge for a couple of days so feel free to make ahead, for example if you were preparing for a birthday party or an Afternoon tea.
