Lemon Whipped Cream, a very quick and easy recipe using fresh whipped cream to give you a sweet and tangy lemon flavor. Great with cakes or in a trifle
This lemon whipped cream has got to be the quickest and easiest cream I've ever made! It's a simple recipe, using just 2 ingredients and it can be used as an accompaniment to a dessert, or as a frosting on a cake or a side to a slice of cake such as in the photo below where we added a blob of this cream to our sticky lemon cake.
It was absolutely delicious! The cream has a slight tangy taste from the lemon.
We've used a simple lemon curd, which you can buy in jars in the supermarket, or you can make your own using our easy lemon curd recipe.
This cream will keep covered in the fridge for a couple of days so feel free to make ahead, for example if you were preparing for a birthday party or an Afternoon tea.
Lemon Frangipane. This is a really nice coffee time cake to make. Goes great with a nice cuppa! Or you can have as a dessert, warm or cold with a squirt of whipped cream or like me, a blob of vanilla ice cream! It's really yummy! Delicious!
Lemon and Poppy Seed Loaf! This is truly a delightful cake. The flavours are gentle, the cake is soft and moist and of course looks so pretty with the addition of poppy seeds sprinkled throughout the cake.
