Honey and Lavender Slow Cooked Ham
Butt Ham - cut recommended by Peggy is Butt Ham
/ 450 g can of sliced pineapples use the juice as well
/ 225 g jar of sweet cherries maraschino
/ 85 g of honey with lavender or Plain Clover honey. Either will give you a wonderful flavour
of Chinese 5 spice
/ 85 g of maple syrup
Add all the ingredients to the crock pot and cook on low for 5 hours.
When the ham is ready, to make the gravy, take all the juices and add to sauce pan.
Use 2 TBS of cornstarch and 1 cup (240 ml) of cold water to make thickening agent. Add to sauce pan and let boil and thicken, pour over your ham dinner and you will be very happy!
It tastes amazing and the gravy is so yum!
