Apple Fritters! Oh boy! These are super easy to make and so delicious. Serve warm with some syrup, ice cream, whipped cream, or all three!

Ingredients
  • As many apples as you like. Peeled and sliced into rings and the core removed
The batter
  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • cinnamon to taste
Instructions
  1. Peel, core and slice the apples into rings approximately 1/2 inch thick.
  2. Make up the batter by mixing all the ingredients together.
  3. In a pan, heat oil until hot. Test by dropping a bit of batter into the oil. If it floats to the top and sizzles, then it's hot enough.
  4. Dip the apple rings into the batter then place carefully in the hot oil. Let cook until golden brown, turning halfway.
  5. Place the fritters on a plate with sugar and coat lightly, then serve hot with maple syrup, ice cream or eat just as they are!
