Scotcheroos! Butterscotch, chocolate,rice krispies.... in every bite! Very easy recipe and a great tasting snack

Servings: 9 x 13 pan
  • 1 Cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Cup light corn syrup ** It should be the light and not dark color syrup. If you can't get it maple syrup is also good.
  • 1 Cup creamy peanut butter
  • 6 Cups Rice Krispies dry cereal
  • 2/3 Cup Chocolate morsels semi-sweet
  • 2/3 Cup Butterscotch morsels
  1. In a large pan over a medium heat, add the sugar and corn syrup until it comes to a boil. Then remove from heat then stir in the peanut butter and rice krispies until all combined.
  2. Spread in a greased 13 x 9 inch bake tray, pressing the mixture down lightly and evenly.
  3. In a microwave safe bowl, or glass measuring cup, melt the chocolate morsels and butterscotch morsels, for about 1 1/2 minutes.Stir well, and pour over the Rice Krispie mixture in pan. Cover the pan and refrigerate for at least 25 - 30 minutes before cutting in to squares.
Nanny's Notes:
  1. If you would like a thicker layer of chocolate, do 1 cup each of chocolate and butterscotch morsels.
