April certainly loves garlic! This recipe has been adapted from Sharon's Pasta bake recipe, which April has made many times, and has now become a regular on her menu, often, April changes and switches ingredients to suit, and here, April has created a Garlic flavoured pasta bake.

Recipe by April Adams
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Yield: 2 - 4 Persons
Ingredients
1 lb / 450 g Sweet Italian Sausage
Mushrooms – As many as you like, sliced
2 Medium Onions coarsely chopped
8 oz Garlic and Chives pasta or your favourite.
**(you can use raw or leftover pasta, fresh or dried)
2 cups / 470 ml Water
15 oz can tomato Sauce
1 Cup of 5 – Italian Cheese Mix
2 Tablespoons Tomato paste
2 tablespoons Sugar
Handful of fresh basil
2 Teaspoons Salt
2 cloves of Elephant garlic roasted **** To make your own, cut the top off the garlic head, wrap the bottom half in foil and then pour a bit of olive oil on and bake it at 375 F for 55-60 minutes.
OR use 2 minced garlic cloves
Salt & Pepper to taste.
**** Please note, you can swap any of the ingredients to suit, e.g swap sausage for ground turkey, use different cheeses etc.
Instructions:
1. In a pan, with a drop of olive oil, saute mushrooms and onion until there is no liquid left in the pan. Then set aside in a container, and using the same pan, brown the meat then return the mushrooms & onions. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
2. Transfer contents of the pan to a lightly greased 8 x 8 casserole dish and bake at 350 F for 35 minutes then place under the broiler until the top is golden brown.
3. Set aside for 15 minutes before serving and Enjoy!
